Naked Boy!!

Daddy was trying to change Remis diaper and for some silly reason, Remi just REFUSED to have a diaper on! Fought tooth and nail to keep daddy from putting a diaper on so.......we let him run free!!! He is the cutest naked baby boy EVER!!

New PJs

We were shopping at Wal-mart and in the baby section picking up some diapers. Remi starting going crazy...happy crazy...kicking his legs, laughing, squealing. When we followed his eyes to what he was excited about, we realized he was totally diggin' these Sponge Bob PJs. Awesome part was - they were on clearance for just $3!! Couldn't resist them!
We got home and immediately put them on him. He couldn't stop staring down at himself. He would get so excited when he'd look at his legs and see "Sponge".......not to mention how freakin' cute he looks in them!

First time on the Train!

Me, Mike and Remi headed out for a night out and decided to take the Light Rail, the train, to our restaurant. Remi LOVED it!

Allergies and Pink Eye

Today Remis eyes got extremley pink, red and swollen. They were tearing up non stop and he couldn't stop rubbing them. He had a temp of 101 so we took him to the doctors to see what was going on. She said he has an infection/pink eye.
We have also discovered that he has bad allergies. Not sure if he's allergic to the dogs all of a sudden or if its this nasty Arizona dry summer heat so we have been giving him a dose of allergy medicine in the mornings and its seems to stop the sneezing and him rubbing his eyes all day. Hopefully once the cooler fall weather sets in, the allergies around the air will go away.

FIRST HAIRCUT!!!

This boy has some super fine and fluffy hair. We call him "peach head" due to his peachy fuzz hair. It was getting super long and was covering his ears and causing a mullet type style. Daddy and I decided, after much much deliberating, that we would trim his hair. He did super well!! Was more curious on the loud noise buzzing around his ears. But all in all ~ it was a success!!! He's looks like so handsome....always has been but now he looks 'put together' :)

Fat Lip

We experienced our first fat lip!! We were having dinner at my parents house and us girls were in the living room letting all the kids play. Remi decided he wanted to brave the step in the front entrance way. He made it up but on his way down, he lost balance and fell on his face on the tile floor. It was a horrible cry. His lip didn't bleed or anything but it sure swelled up fast! Luckily, the fat lip was gone by bed time.

Peanut butter and Jelly

We've been letting Remi try all sorts of  'new' foods lately to see his reactions. Today I sat down with a PBandJ and of course, the little monster sees that I have food and crawls as fast as he could over to me. I gave him a bite and we was in love!! The peanut butter made it hard for the bread to dissolve so I gave him just the jelly part of the bread. He made a "mmmmmmm" noise the entire time he ate....and would cry once the food in his mouth ran out. He was very content while eating his first PBandJ

Sponge Bob

Have I ever mentioned how much this kid LOVES Sponge Bob? He will stop in his tracks, no matter what he is doing, to watch it when it comes on tv. It's hilarious!! Sometimes, we'll bring it up on NetFlix and play the beginning theme song over and over and over again just to see his reaction. We bought him a "Sponge" pillow and he is obsessed with it! He 'talks' to it and trys as hard as he can to drag it around the house with him. This pillow is just as big as he is!

Chicken Nuggets

We thought we'd let Remi try chicken nuggets for the first time.....SUCCESS!!! No choking or spitting it out....he ate those faster then ever!! He actaully ate 2 whole nuggets!!!

8 MONTHS!!!!

Weight: He weighs 19 lbs even!

Height: He is 28 inches tall

Head Size: 17.5 inches - His head is finally growing!

Diaper Size: He wears size medium and large cloth diapers and size 3 in disposables

Clothes Size: Mostly 9-12  months and sometimes 18 months

Sleep: Sleep is getting a little more 'tough'. He doesn't go to bed at the same time anymore (that may be our fault) but does wake up at 8am every morning. Nap times are getting shorter and shorter. He still takes 2 a day but they only last about 45 mins each.

Favorite Activities: Crawling!! He loves to crawl everywhere and explore all the new places in the house. He loves to stand up at the coffee table and tap his toys on it. He still loves going on walks and playing with the dogs.

Favorite Toys: He goes straight for the wood puzzle pieces! Not sure why, but he loves those. He loves banging the pieces together and on things like windows, tables and other toys.

Eating: He's starting to eat more solid foods. Recently he's ate eggs, graham crackers and mac and cheese. He drinks 3 -4 7oz bottles a day and east homemade baby food in the morning and in the evening for dinner. He LOVES his food!! If he sees you eating.....he thinks he has to eat too!

Talking: Still doesn't say "mama" much but says "dada" and "daddy" alllll day long. This week he started saying "B" sounds and "G" sounds like "Gaaa". And since we sing the ABCs and the Isty Bitsy spider alllll day long, I swear he tries to mimic those words or at least the tune of it :)

Milestones: Crawling!! That the newest and most recent! He also pulls up on everything and will sometimes 'monkey crawl' on the coffee table.  He waves every now and then and learned how to make noise by wiggling his fingers in front of his mouth.

Remington James, You have come so far this month and learned so many new things. Time is going by so fast and you are growing up so fast but you will always be my little boy.

He's on the move!!!

We've got a crawler!!! He figured it out all of a sudden and now there's no stopping him :)He's not too fast yet but he sure does get around the house.

And his newest trick is to crawl, stop and then get on his hands on toes. We say he's doing yoga since I did yoga while pregnant :)

 And we had to set up the baby gate already to keep him out of the hallway

And last night, we left all the doors and windows open in the house 'cause it was raining. He realized the back door was open and wanted to go check it out. I was amazed that he actaully brave enough to venture OUT the door...yes - he went outside by himself :)

Oh boy!!! These last 2 days have been fun!!!

Can't believe he's already crawling!!!
