Remi is the proud new owner of.....

TEETH!!!! 2 teeth to be exact!! BOTH bottom teeth broke through on the same day!! He didn't even notice! We happened to be in Sedona AZ that day when his teeth broke through. We were outside all day, which he loves more then anything, so I think it help distract him from the pain.
And speaking of Sedona, it was pretty much his first real trip (besides camping at 4 months) He did great!! LOVED every bit of it! Never cried, took naps in the stroller and got lots of attention from all the other tourists :)

Relaxing and enjoying the ride on the way up to Sedona

Smarty pants

I love this kid more then life it self.. and that's an understatement. I feel like I can just breathe this kid in all day long and never get tired of him. Hence, why I haven't been back to work since the day before I gave birth. This person is my life. My world. My breath and my Soul! I stare at him every second I can and just thank my lucky stars to be given such a miracle, a blessing and such a great opportunity to better myself. I love watching him, watching him discover things and learn things. The smile he gets when I walk into the room (or daddy) is like the brightest rays of sunshine. I can't even get close to explaining how much this little boy fills my heart and life with happiness. Again, he is my dream come true.

This past week - he has excelled!! He is just about crawling..well - he's a little farther along then where he was at last week. He can now get on all fours and attempt a 'crawl' by picking up a hand and moving it forward, but his legs don't move yet :). He has learned how to clap!! He loves clapping now! Although, if YOU clap- he looks at you like "huh??"...but then as soon as you stop clapping, he will resume clapping. Goofy head. He is also super close to pulling himself up on things. We don't have the right height of things around our house to help him so we try our best on 'making do' with what we have. His most favorite thing to do is to stand up at the coffee table and 'slap' it. OH- and hes learned how to shake his head "No" ~ He doesn't do it on purpose like when you ask him a question, its him being silly. Its so cute though!!

He has been cloth diapered for almost a month straight. And let me tell you - I know HATE disposables!!! HATE!!! They stink, they are gross and they LEAK every time! ugh!! I have also made about 11 cloth diaper covers! They are adorable and very 'leak proof'. So proud of myself :) Although, he has discovered the velcro on his diapers and has learned how to take the diapers off....yea - this will be fun.

I also have made my own baby food for this whole past month. Its soo easy and he LOVES it!! He gets super excited when I get his blue bowl out. He slaps the table and says "Ooh! Ooh!Ooh!!"

Other then that ~ My boy is striving!! I'm super proud of him this week. He has really grown!

Fourth of July!

We had a super duper FUN fourth of July!!! Mike had the day off so we did lots of "family" time. When Remington woke up in the morning, we snatched him and pulled him into bed with us to snuggle. He LOVES hanging out in our bed with us. We then went swimming! It was the first time Daddy went swimming with Remington. After swimming, we dressed him in one of two fourth of july outfits and we all cuddled on the couch a bit and watched movies. As soon as the evening came, we had a BBQ outside in the front with our neighbors. We ate hamburgers and beans and had so much fun lighting fireworks. Remi actually held his own sparkler!!! HE LOVED THE FIREWORKS!!! He was mesmerized by them! It was a fantastic day!

7 months old!!!!!!!

Weight: He weighs 17.12 lbs

Height:
He is still 27 inches tall

Head Size:
16 inches - still. Again, his head has been the same size for 3 months!!

Diaper Size:
We are 24/7 cloth diaper now and he wears size mediums.

Clothes Size:
We're in 6-9 months but every now and then we wears a 3-6 month outfit.

Sleep: Sleep time/nap time is going super well!! He wakes up around 8am and goes down for a nap around 10am for about 30 mins. Then another nap around 1pm for about an hour. Down for bed around 8pm and sleeps through the night 'till 8am.

Favorite Activities:
He's "over" the jumperoo now. He only lasts about 30 seconds in it before he screams. He now loves sitting by the back door and looking outside. We'll surround him with all his toys too and he will be content for hours!!

Favorite Toys:
He's definitely getting attached to his ambulance truck! And he has this giraff toy that you can throw toys in the neck of it...but he rather just play with the base of that rather then the actual toy part of it. And he's starting to love this plastic orange helicopter! YAY for trucks and helicopters!!

Eating: Oh boy!!! I'm already getting nervous for this subject...especially when he's a teenager. This kid LOVES to eat!!! wait a second...he loves to eat OUR food. Yes. We'll all be sitting at the dinner table eating and I'll be feeding Remi his (homemade) baby food. But nope!! He doesn't want that! He wants whatever it is that we're eating!! I've had to mush up my own food to give to him just to make him stop screaming at me :) As for bottles, he drinks 6oz every 3-4 hours.

Talking: His favorite word (and only word) he says is "Dada"...and I swear he says "HI" when you walk into the room. He still makes his high pitch screech noises when he gets excited and now he plays this "copy" game - if you make a "ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" sound, he'll do it right back. The louder you get, the louder HE gets! Its quite entertaining :)

Milestones:
He has mastered sitting up thats for sure!! He has now figured out how to roll across the house to get to where he wants to be. And he is SO close to crawling!! He'll go from a sitting position, lean forward and get on his hands and ONE leg....the other leg will stay stuck underneath him. As soon as he figures out that one leg- he'll be a "crawling machine"!!!!!

This boy is seriously the love of my life. I can't say that enough!! I still tear up thinking about how far we've come to get this beautiful person. He is absolutely amazing and so smart! I am so blessed and grateful that He is healthy and is meeting all the milestones.

Remington, Mommy and Daddy love you more then you will EVER know!! Our hearts are so filled with love for you! You make us so incredibly happy. We've had smiles on our faces everyday since you've became apart of us. We love you so much baby boy!

Ear Specialist Apt.

Remi has had terrible ear infections and so we were referred by our pediatrician to an ENT, or ears nose and throat specialist.
Our apt went super well. They did the newborn screening test to see if his hearing had been affected from his past ear infections. The results came back as PASS! He has NO hearing loss. They also checked his ear drums to see if they responded well and to make sure there was no scar tissue. Those results also came back as PASS!! YAY!! So no damage at all! And of course they checked to see if he had any current infection and he did not.
SO with all that being said, the doctor did say he IS a candidate for Tubes since he doesn't respond well to antibiotic. We talked it over a bit amongst the three of us and decided to wait it out a bit to see if his past infections we're due to flu sesson or if he had structural issues. And if does get one more ear infection, that would be the "GO" to schedule for tubes.
All in all, it was a great apt. We had good news all around and walked out of there with smiles on our faces.
And after telling the doctor that Remington HATES having his ears touched and that he would scream and fight the doctor when he examined them......Go figure that Remi proves us wrong and just sits there the whole time with a smile on his face. Brat.
