Fathers Day!!

Today we celebrated Mikes first fathers day!! We didn't do much 'cause all daddy wanted to do was relax at home, so we did just that. I did manage to get a cute pic of Daddy and Remington together and their first fathers day!!

SO BIG!!

Our 'baby' boy is growing up soo fast!! He sits up completely on his own with NO help and army crawls all over the floor. He 'talks' SO much!!! He loves saying "Dada" and absolutely LOVES watching Sponge Bob. He will literally turn his head all the way around to watch the TV. He cracks up at the dogs even when they just walk in the room!! This kid is hilarious!! Certianly my LIGHT and Shining star!

To the ENT we go!!!

Remi finished up his 10 day course of antibiotics and on his 6 month doctor apt, he was 'cleared' from his ear infection but just a few days later, he started grabbing his ear again and not eating much and super fussy. Today he is just awful!! Fevers are back and he is crying over everything. I decided to take him back in and........now he has a double ear infection!! OMG!! Will this kid ever get a break? That makes this 3 ear infections in 3 months....or you can say the 2 in just 2 weeks. Today, his pediatrician gave us a referral to see the ENT specialist and talk about getting tubes in his ears. I'm super nervous but I will do anything we can to ensure my baby stays healthy. The apt is scheduled for June 30th.

First Graham Cracker

Remi had his first Graham Cracker today! HE LOVED IT!!!! He got SO excited after the first time he tasted it. And when the cracker 'ran out'....oh boy-- it was hell!!!! He did great though! Didn't choke....ate the entire thing!! What a mess!

Half a year old already?????

WOW!!! My baby....I mean BIG boy is already half a year old!!!! Holy Moly!!!! Here are the stats on Mr. Remington:

Weight: He weighs 16.6 lbs now

Height: He is 27 inches tall

Head Size: 16 inches - still. His head has been the same size for 3 months!!

Diaper Size: Just started size 3 diapers

Clothes Size: He wears mainly 3-6 months clothes but fits in the 6-9 months too!

Sleep: Bedtime is still the same (thank goodness) Goes to bed between 8p- 9p and wakes up to feed around 6am...then hes back to bed 'till 9am! And his naps are the same too! His morning nap are about an hour long around 11am. Then he takes a longer afternoon nap around 2pm. BUT---- he is sleeping in the crib now and it is working out just perfectly!!!

Favorite Activities: Loves the jumperoo! He sits up on his own now so he likes to sit and have a bazillion toys surrounding him so he can pick and chose. He is still fascinated by the dogs. He loves watching cartoons first thing in the morning, mostly Sponge Bob.

Favorite Toys: Not sure what his favorite toy is anymore. He seems to play with everything now. So lets just say, he loves anything that he can get his hands on!

Eating: His eating habits havn't changed much. He takes a 6oz formula bottle every few hours. And on most days, he'll have fruit for lunch and veggies for dinner. He loves to eat food!

Talking: He says "Daddy" and "Mama"....mostly Daddy though..He's only said Mama a few times. But he makes a screech noise which sounds like a taradactle!

Milestones: Lots this month!! He sits up perfectly on his own, he holds his own bottle (when hes not being lazy) and he says "Daddy" and "Mama"!! He rolls from tummy to back but hasn't got the "Back to Tummy" figured out yet.

Daddy got a great b-day present

Remi learned to say "Dadda" just days before Mikes birthday!! We were sitting on the floor in the living room, playing and watching TV, when Remi looked up and said "Dadda"! We got super excited of course and was able to catch it on video. After a day or so, he was able to learn "Dadd-eeee". Its the best sound in the entire world!!!!!!

Sleeping in the crib UPDATE

Remi is doing great in the crib!! We've been having him sleep in the crib for a week now and have had about 3 bad nights total. And out of those 3, only once did I take him back to our room for the night. On good nights, he sleeps from 9pm to about 6am, wakes up for a bottle, then is back down for another 2-3 hours.

He goes right to sleep as soon as we lay him down in it. We even put him in the crib while he's still awake. He never cries, never whines when I put him in there. Its almost as if he likes it in there. I play his soft baby music in the background, turn the fan on so its cooler and of course, let him snuggle with his blankie. We do this same routine for naps too and it works perfectly!
I'm super proud of my little boy. He's doing great!
